Due to public safety and fire recovery purposes multiple Kangaroo Island parks are closed until further notice, including Flinders Chase National Park, Cape Borda Lightstation and Kelly Hill Caves.

The Organ Pipes Road along with the Yandinga and Scrubby Peak campgrounds will remain open during this period.

A prescribed burn is planned (subject to weather conditions) in Hale CP on Friday 31/7/20. Due to this the Circuit Loop Walking Trail will be temporarily closed for the day.

Marion Council has reopened 2kms of the Coastal Walkway between Marino and Hallett Cove Conservation Park. A 500 metre section between Kurnabinna and Grey Road gullies, Hallett Cove remains closed. A diversion is in place around the gullies.

Aerial baiting with 1080 meat baits will be occurring across Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park on Wednesday 3 June 2020. The baits may be active for some months until rain causes the active agent to breakdown. These baits are toxic to domestic animals, which are not permitted in the park.
