Forecast Heavy Rainfall for Desert Parks
Heavy rainfall associated with a large tropical depression is forecast to hit Witjira National Park on 23 March and shift East towards Innamincka Regional Reserve by the 25th of March. Falls between 100 -160mm have been estimated across the desert parks using modelling supplied by the Bureau of Meteorology. This rain event could pose a risk to public safety and would result in Park Closures if it occurs, please take this into consideration when planning your trip.

Public safetyMarion Council has reopened 2kms of the Coastal Walkway between Marino and Hallett Cove Conservation Park. A 500 metre section between Kurnabinna and Grey Road gullies, Hallett Cove remains closed. A diversion is in place around the gullies. This section is not in the Hallett Cove Conservation Park, the boardwalk remains open to park visitors.
