You can now take a virtual trek along 126 walking trails in 30 of South Australia’s national parks thanks to a collaboration between the State Government and Google.
Over five months, Google loaned National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia a Google Street View Trekker to film in South Australia’s national parks and bring them to life in Google Maps. Rangers wearing the Google Trekker captured over 600km of walking trails, park roads, campgrounds and waterways in some of our most beautiful places.
Google Street View now gives you the opportunity to see what the parks offer and the available facilities before you go. This is an especially great tool if you have accessibility needs, are visiting with people of varying ages or fitness levels or are pushing a pram and want to view a trail before leaving home.
