Part closure of Malkumba Coongie Lakes National Park and Innamincka Regional Reserve

Malkum­ba Coongie Lakes Nation­al Park and sig­nif­i­cant parts of Innam­inc­ka Region­al Reserve are closed until fur­ther notice due to a major flood­ing event.

We are work­ing on open­ing camp­grounds and tracks but repeat­ed flood­ing is ham­per­ing efforts.

In the mean­time camp­ing and accom­mo­da­tion are avail­able in the town­ship and the fol­low­ing sites are open:

• The Vis­i­tor Cen­tre at the for­mer Aus­tralian Inland Mis­sion in Innamincka
• Town­ship her­itage walks and walks along parts of the Coop­er Creek
• Merninie Loop
• North Bore Track
