Access to the beach has been temporarily paused to help protect the sea lion colony. Seal Bay will remain open to visitors with a roaming guide providing interpretation along the boardwalk. No booking is required. Please purchase tickets at the Seal Bay Visitor Centre. Details

Seal Bay Con­ser­va­tion Park is just 45 min­utes from Kan­ga­roo Island’s main town of Kingscote. Dis­cov­er­ing the Aus­tralian sea lion colony in such mag­nif­i­cent wilder­ness makes Seal Bay an unfor­get­table expe­ri­ence. It’s a ​‘must do’ when vis­it­ing the island.

There are pic­nic and bar­be­cue areas at near­by Bales Beach, where you can stop for lunch. A short walk from the pic­nic grounds will take you to a look­out with excel­lent views of Cape Gantheaume and the wilder­ness area.
