Kauwi-marnirla Field River Conservation Park
Kauwi-marnirla — Field River Conservation Park was proclaimed in November 2024, in the Field River catchment between Sheidow Park and Reynella, adjacent to Glenthorne National Park – Ityamaiitpinna Yarta.
The park provides increased protections for native species and habitats, and an open, natural space for the community to enjoy. The Aboriginal co-name, Kauwi-marnirla translates to place of ‘two good waters’ and is pronounced ‘Cowee-ma-rni-rla’.
