Track closure at Gawler Ranges National Park

Due to recent rain­fall dam­age, a num­ber of tracks are closed with­in Gawler Ranges Nation­al Park for pub­lic safe­ty. 2WD access is not permitted.

Closed tracks:

• Sturt’s Lake Track
• Old Paney Scenic Route (between Old Paney and Waganny)
• Mat­tera Track south­ern end
• LP Track (from Con­i­cal Hill Look­out to Mat­tera Track intersection)
• Pon­dan­na Outstation

Open tracks (4WD access only. Dri­ve with caution): 

• Via Barns Road Wudin­na — access open to Wagan­ny, Chillu­nie, Kolay Hut and Mat­tera Campgrounds
• Via PAR 11 Kim­ba — access open to Wagan­ny, Chillu­nie, Kolay Hut and Mat­tera Campgrounds
• Via Yardea Road only – access open to Yandin­ga & Scub­by Peak Camp­grounds, Organ Pipes, Old Paney Home­stead and Con­i­cal Hill Lookout

Track repair works are under­way, and infor­ma­tion will be reg­u­lar­ly updated.
