Environmental Education Action Plan
The Environmental Education Action Plan 2021 – 2024 is a co-designed program to be delivered by the Department for Environment and Water and the Department for Education. The Program supports local students to get out of the classroom more often and into local parks, gardens and national parks. It also supports education and career pathways for students. The five key areas are:
- Learning in nature
- Tools for teaching
- Student pathways
- Understanding conservation and sustainability
- Partnering with Communities and industry

This curriculum-linked, Primary School (Years 5 & 6) resource is designed to support teachers in schools implement teaching and learning programs about marine parks in South Australian waters through STEM and integrating the Sustainability Cross Curriculum Priorities and General Capabilities.
