Visitors are advised to avoid foamy or abnormally coloured water and avoid walking on beaches if there is a strong odour. If they experience symptoms such as coughing, shortness of breath or irritated eyes, rinse off with clean water afterwards. Welcome Centre staff are able to provide updates on where the algal bloom is present in the park. The health advice for the algal bloom has remained consistent as outlined at algalbloom.sa.gov.au.
