Part closure of Adelaide International Bird Sanctuary National Park - Winaityinaityi Pangkara

Part clo­sure of Ade­laide Inter­na­tion­al Bird Sanc­tu­ary Nation­al Park – Winaity­i­naityi Pangkara.

The Bak­ers Creek Trail Head and carpark at the north­ern end of Thomp­son Beach will be closed for con­struc­tion from 19 May 2025 until August 2025. Con­struc­tion works will include upgrades to the exist­ing carpark as well as new fenc­ing, sig­nage, a shel­ter, pic­nic table and a water tank. Vis­i­tors can access Thomp­son Beach via one of the oth­er pub­lic carparks locat­ed along the esplanade. 

The Third Creek Trail Head at the south­ern end of Thomp­son Beach will also be upgrad­ed with new fenc­ing, sig­nage and a shel­ter. Access to the south­ern carpark and the Third Creek Trail will remain open and avail­able to the public.
