Part closure of Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park

Most of Ikara-Flinders Ranges Nation­al Park will be closed from 5 Novem­ber until 9 Novem­ber 2026 for pub­lic safe­ty dur­ing a pest con­trol and mon­i­tor­ing program. 

Areas that will remain open dur­ing this time includes:

  • Hawk­er to Blin­man Road
  • Hawk­er to Arka­roola (Wirre­al­pa) Road
  • Sacred Canyon Road
  • Brachi­na Gorge Road (open for through traf­fic only – no stopping)
  • Bun­yeroo Gorge Road (open for through traf­fic only – no stopping)
  • Wilpe­na Pound Resort and campground

Please note: all camp­grounds will be closed except for Wilpe­na Pound Resort campground
