Kauwi-marnirla — Field River Conservation Park is a new conservation park in Adelaide’s southern suburbs on the traditional lands of the Kaurna People. The Aboriginal co-name, Kauwi-marnirla translates to place of two good waters’ and is pronounced Cowee-ma-rni-rla’. A management plan is being created for the park to guide how visitors will engage in the 177 hectare space. The park hosts spectacular views throughout with features such as a spring fed creek, rich geological history, state heritage mining sites, woodland birds, local flora and a large scale revegetation effort.
