Flinders Chase National Park and Ravine Des Casoars Wilderness Protection Area

Located a 20-minute drive from Flinders Chase Visitor Centre, Snake Lagoon Campground offers peaceful and secluded bush camping, close to a seasonal lagoon which fills only in wet years. Visitors can explore walking trails out to the mouth of the Rocky River and a wild and spectacular ocean beach, or upstream to the Cascades, a great spot to try to spot an elusive platypus.
Access: 2WD accessible gravel road. Not suitable for large caravans or oversized motorhomes.
Suitable for: tents and small camper trailers. Access to campsites may be tight with limited space for maneuvering camper trailers.
Facilities: long drop toilets, picnic tables.
Campfires: shared communal firepit outside of fire danger season.
Number of campsites: 9 allocated campsites.
Electricity: unpowered.
The campsites provide minimal shade and some wind protection.

Dogs are not allowed.
