Full closure of Ngarkat Conservation Park

There are cur­rent­ly mul­ti­ple uncon­tained fires with­in Ngarkat Con­ser­va­tion Park, due to light­en­ing.

NPWS staff along with the CFS are cur­rent­ly attend­ing these fires.

The park will remain closed for at least sev­en days, until mid­night on Tues­day 18 March, whilst emer­gency oper­a­tions continue.

Please check for any road clo­sures in the area, par­tic­u­lar­ly the Ngarkat High­way which may have detours. 

If you are already in the Park vis­it­ing, please leave imme­di­ate­ly. Any book­ings dur­ing this peri­od will be can­celed and issued a refund.
