Part closure of Morgan Conservation Park
Published: 12 May 2023
Morgan Conservation Park has partially reopened, with access to campsites 2 to 12 only. The remainder of the park remains closed to all vehicle access. Visitors may still walk into closed areas for day visiting and to undertake activities such as yabbying or fishing.
There are still campsites damaged by the flood that will remain closed. These include:
- Campsite 1 and associated boat launch area remain closed due to extensive damage. The area has been closed off with bollards to prevent further damage
- Campsites 13 to 15 are still closed as they also require repairs and some tree removal
Please help to make this park a great place to visit or stay by:
- only camping in opened and designated campsites
- preventing damage to the environment and Cultural Heritage areas by remaining on open roads and tracks only,
— it is an offence to drive off-track, or on closed roads, including if previous traffic has been through,
— there are high volumes of cultural heritage throughout the sand dunes at Morgan Conservation Park, please be respectful
- bringing your own firewood as collecting wood off of the park is damaging to the environment and you may incur a fine
- taking your rubbish with you
- reporting any Park related issues such as unruly behavior by others to the Duty Ranger on Phone: 0417 192 335
