Full closure of Moorook Game Reserve
Published: 02 March 2023
Flood waters are now receding. However, most of our wetlands and floodplains will remain flooded or inaccessible for some time. Therefore, all campsites and access roads/tracks remain closed.
Moorook Campground — CLOSEDStrictly no vehicle access, no camping allowed. Visitors may still access these areas by walking, bike riding, canoe or small boat if safe to do so. Please remain on established roads and tracks.
For further information on the flooding and for safety information please visit https://www.sa.gov.au/topics/e…
Ranger staff are currently assessing the damage and risk caused by the flood in all of our parks. The priority is to fix up roads and campsites and have some of them open soon for day visiting only. Campsite clean-up will take months and they will only reopen when safe to do so. Danggali Conservation Park remains open with campsites available for booking.
Pooginook and Cooltong Conservation Parks are also great places to spend the day.
If you have a booking, please contact the Berri Regional Office on 85952111 or email DEW.RMonlinebookings@sa.gov.au to request a refund or rebook for another time.
