Aerial baiting with 1080 meat baits across Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park
Published: 25 May 2020
Aerial baiting with 1080 meat baits will be occurring across Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park on Wednesday 3 June 2020. The baits may be active for some months until rain causes the active agent to breakdown. These baits are toxic to domestic animals, which are not permitted in the park.
Areas such as Wilpena resort, campgrounds, roads and major walking tracks will not be baited but, in the unlikely event that you come across a bait, please do not handle it. This baiting is targeting feral cats and aims to reduce the impact of cat predation on reintroduced quolls and possums.
