Duck hunting open season in Chowilla Game Reserve
The 2019 South Australian open season for duck hunting will commence 15 minutes before sunrise on on Saturday 16 March 2019 and end 30 minutes after sunset on Sunday 30 June 2019.
Chowilla Game Reserve is available for duck hunting on designated dates during the 2019 open season. Please be aware that you may hear noise associated with hunting activities during those times.
Chowilla Game Reserve Opening Times for duck hunting
From 15 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset on the following days:
- Saturday 16 March 2019
- Sunday 17 March 2019
- Saturday 6 April 2019
- Sunday 7 April 2019
- Saturday 4 May 2019
- Sunday 5 May 2019
- Saturday 18 May 2019
- Sunday 19 May 2019
- Saturday 1 June 2019
- Sunday 2 June 2019
- Saturday 29 June 2019
- Sunday 30 June 2019
The open season applies to the whole reserve, subject to the following exclusions:
- for safety reasons, all of the area within 500 m radius centred upon the Chowilla Homestead, shearing shed, Lock 6 on the River Murray, the Chowilla Creek Regulator and Coombool Outstation (homestead) including any portion of creeks or waterbodies within 500 m of these sites.
